Sayyid Al-Hakeem Praises Najaf's Efforts in Addressing the Housing Crisis and Supporting Development Projects

At the press conference held at the headquarters of the Holy Najaf Governorate in the presence of its Governor, Mr. Yousef Makki Gannawi, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, extended his blessings on the auspicious Eid Al-Ghadeer, and explained that the Holy Najaf holds a religious and cultural symbolism embodied in the presence of the Religious Seminary, the Religious Reference Authority, and the shrine of the Commander of the Faithful (PBUH). H.E. stressed the necessity of elevating the governorate's infrastructure in a manner befitting its stature and roles, commending the local government's efforts in providing land plots and resolving the housing crisis. H.E. also affirmed the necessity of supporting farmers, calling on the federal government and the Ministry of Finance to provide their dues as an essential matter.

H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem commended the efforts to supply Najaf with electrical power through the use of solar energy, expressing his pleasure at Najaf's transformation into an oil-producing governorate and its possession of a border crossing, stating: "All of this amplifies Najaf's influence and marks a qualitative shift in its reality," and affirming his readiness to follow up on projects with the relevant authorities.

On the political front, H.E. clarified that completing the ministerial cabinet requires the convening of an emergency session and consultations among political blocs, calling for the enactment of the Governorate Councils law, which will open broad horizons for governorates in delivering services, and noting that the current priority lies in sovereign matters. H.E. highlighted the recent statement of the Coordination Framework, which supported the state and the government in its efforts to consolidate weapons and implement the Popular Mobilization Forces Commission law, commending Sayyid Al-Sadr's step in encouraging the Peace Brigades to integrate into state institutions and the Popular Mobilization Forces Commission. H.E. noted that some factions will heed this call, while others are awaiting the full conclusion of the international coalition's mission in September of this year before moving to respond to the call for consolidating weapons under state authority.
