Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses to Continue Automation Projects, Modernize Iraq Financial System
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met this evening with His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Falih Al-Sari. The meeting featured a review of the current financial reality in light of the escalating economic challenges arising from the disruption of oil exports and the absence of alternative outlets.
H.E. affirmed during the meeting the importance of diversifying national income sources and activating productive sectors, calling on banks to assume an effective role in this regard, alongside supporting small youth enterprises as a fundamental tributary for absorbing unemployment and providing employment opportunities.
H.E. also called for the continuation of automation projects, the modernization of the banking system, and the development of the electronic payment system, stressing the necessity of supporting local governments, disbursing salaries, and settling the dues of farmers and contractors on time, expressing that this contributes directly to mobilizing the capital cycle and driving the wheel of production.
