Sayyid Al-Hakeem on Aziz Al-Iraq Passing Anniversary: Project Made with Martyrs Blood, Steadfast Positions to Defend Country, Elections
At the memorial ceremony commemorating seventeenth anniversary passing of Aziz Al-Iraq, His Eminence Sayyid Abdul Aziz Al-Hakeem (may Allah sanctify his soul), held by Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, congratulated attendees and Iraqi people on arrival of blessed month of Ramadan.
His Eminence noted that Aziz Al-Iraq stood as a central figure during critical and sensitive stages that shaped a new chapter in Iraq’s history, urging protection of projects sustained by sacrifices of martyrs. H.E. underlined that Aziz Al-Iraq left an enduring imprint despite harsh and complex challenges, characterized by deep reliance on Allah and unwavering commitment to faith and steadfastness.
H.E. highlighted that Aziz Al-Iraq was distinguished by boldness in articulating views and defending convictions up to the point of final decision. Once a decision was reached, Aziz Al-Iraq stood firmly behind it and supported the collective position, whether or not it fully aligned with the initial perspective, always prioritizing public interest above any other consideration. H.E. also recalled steadfast defense of electoral process and insistence on conducting elections within constitutional deadlines.
H.E. added that Aziz Al-Iraq did not seek media spotlight and never pursued personal credit for accomplishments. When appearance became necessary, presence was powerful and influential. Aziz Al-Iraq remained transparent, sincere, and fully committed to adopted positions, earning broad trust, including that of international actors.
