Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses Constitutional Entitlements Completion, Prioritize Public Interest
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received a delegation from Al-Imar And Tanmia Alliance, headed by MP Baha Al-Araji, this evening, Monday, 9 February 2026, at his office in Baghdad. The meeting reviewed recent political developments in Iraq and the region.
His Eminence affirmed the importance of completing the remaining constitutional entitlements related to the three presidencies in line with constitutional procedures, calling for giving precedence to the public interest over narrow interests and for considering internal and external challenges in a way that supports political stability and reinforces the democratic path.
His Eminence also emphasized the importance of coordinating positions and unifying perspectives on parliamentary performance in both legislation and oversight, highlighting the need to pass laws that directly affect citizens’ daily lives, meet their expectations, and strengthen public trust in constitutional institutions
