Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets British Ambassador, Discusses Political Updates, Bilateral Relations
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met this morning, January 25, 2026, with His Excellency the British Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Irfan Siddiq. The meeting addressed developments in the political landscape in Iraq and the region, in addition to reviewing bilateral relations between Baghdad and London.
His Eminence emphasized the importance of safeguarding the achievements made during the past phase, noting that Iraq is nearing a stage of sustainable stability, and calling on all parties to assume their national responsibilities in pursuit of this shared goal.
H.E. also called for maintaining security, military, and intelligence readiness to confront ongoing security challenges, affirming that Iraq has become resilient against terrorism thanks to social cohesion and the unity of the national position.
