Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Taqaddum Bloc Delegation, Emphasizes National Understanding, Support for Realistic Government Program
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met on Tuesday evening, 6 January 2026, with a delegation from Taqaddum Bloc Party led by Dr. Mohammed Tameem, as part of ongoing communication with political powers and the exchange of perspectives on developments in Iraq’s political scene and the nature of the upcoming entitlements.
During the meeting, they highlighted that the Parliament successfully elected its Speaker and two Deputies, while political powers are moving to settle the remaining entitlements through a path grounded in understanding, partnership, and prioritizing the public interest.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized the need to align around national priorities and to shoulder responsibility in confronting the challenges ahead.
H.E. underscored the importance of a realistic government program based on genuine priorities and backed by the political forces forming the government, ensuring the executive authority’s capacity to deliver and meet citizens’ aspirations.
The meeting also stressed the importance of sustaining stability in Iraq across security, political, and social dimensions, noting that Iraq continues to build positive gains despite challenges, and that the coming phase requires advancing options that transform existing stability into lasting stability serving both the state and society.
