    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Discusses Bilateral Relations, Iraqi Scene Developments With Netherlands Ambassador

    His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received this morning, Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in His office in Baghdad, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Janet Alberda, where they discussed bilateral ties and practical paths to strengthen cooperation in ways that advance the shared interests of both friendly nations.
    H.E. illustrated current developments in Iraq, and that the country has attained an unprecedented level of political, social, and security stability and is working to consolidate these gains toward lasting and sustainable stability.
    H.E. noted that the successful conduct of elections, distinguished by clarity and transparency, constitutes a further milestone in Iraq’s recent achievements, commending the Parliament for completing the election of the Speaker and the First Deputy Speaker, and voicing hope that the appointment of the Second Deputy Speaker will be finalized in a manner that ensures inclusive political representation.
    H.E. emphasized the importance of adhering to constitutional timelines to complete the remaining constitutional obligations, particularly those related to electing the President of the Republic and forming the ministerial cabinet.
