Sayyid Al-Hakeem Affirms National State Powers’ Alliance Resolution Unity, Calls for Active Parliamentary Practices, Constitutional Timelines Adherence
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, held a meeting this morning with members of the Alliance’s parliamentary bloc. H.E. underscored the importance of maintaining a unified and cohesive stance within the bloc, working closely with other parliamentary blocs, and capitalizing on the Alliance’s broad public acceptance to strengthen coordinated action inside the Council of Representatives, in support of the Iraqi people’s aspirations for development and the passage of legislation that serves citizens’ needs.
H.E. further emphasized the duty to work for all Iraqis without exclusion or partisanship, the need to translate electoral pledges into tangible action on the ground, and called for an effective parliamentary performance that restores the Council’s oversight and legislative roles. H.E. reiterated the necessity of adhering to constitutional timelines in selecting the presidencies and stressed the importance of electing the Speaker and Deputies Speakers during today’s session
