Sayyid Al-Hakeem Discusses Political, Security Scene Updates, Affirms Constitutional Timelines Adherence with Defense Minister
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with His Excellency the Minister of Defense, Mr. Thabit Al-Abbasi, on the evening of Monday, 24/11/2025.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the latest developments in the country's political and security landscapes. H.E. commended the successful conclusion of the recent legislative elections and their outcomes, praising the broad voter participation witnessed across all fields.
Furthermore, H.E. emphasized the need to adhere to constitutional deadlines for forming the new government and establishing the three presidencies, illustrating that the upcoming phase must focus on successfully overcoming service delivery challenges, implementing economic reforms, and diversifying sources of income. H.E. also stressed the vital role of continued dialogue among the winning political blocs to maintain the achieved stability and honor the voters' will.
Regarding security, H.E. called to sustain enhancing military and security efforts to combat terrorism relentlessly, strengthen border control, and advance military capabilities by modernizing weaponry to meet the nature of challenges.
